Excuse my lame name but that is the only thing I could think off. Not so much because it looks like a ladder but because it felt like one when I was drawing it My finished example has a light grey rectangle with the filters>textures>felt to try to add some depth. Before I show how I created the design I would like to add a few things. I have trouble with random designs and just had too even things up. I also used the same stroke width for the whole design. I think to give it a more hand drawn appearance changing line widths, not using distribute and changing the curve on some of the horizontal lines so they are not identical would have looked better. I just can't do it myself More knowledge with filters could have improved the final look as well. As we are here to experiment and learn please do give suggestions to improve any of my examples. My instructions are only a guideline, use them to experiment and create your own designs. And you reckon I have the optical thing going, pic 1a is ready to move off the page, lol. I like the last image as it looks lot like tartan where the colours overlap.
