As the spider web is my latest design I have been experimenting to see what else could be done with the base design. First I tried the Extension>Modify Path>Envelope Attachment: modify path.JPG Attachment: swcard.JPG The next thing I tried with the modified web was the Path Effect - Sketch. I plan to use a pen instead of a blade in my cutter and draw this design. Sketch is definitely something I need to explore a bit more. If you want to experiment you can find it by going to Path>Path Effects and selecting Sketch. Attachment: wsketch.JPG

Okay, how did you make it look 3D? I really like the look of the web in a circle.

I duplicated the original, path/union to get rid of the web. I did a fill/stroke and applied a radial gradient. Then it is just positioning it below and a little to the right. Don't forget to ensure that when you move the gradient oval it moves with the shape. You taught me this! Use "affects", the one that says move gradient with shape. On a roll now. Remove the cross strokes. Duplicate, and combine three of the webs. I had to close some gaps with moving nodes, but got a flower look. Added some leaves and viola....a bouquet. Attachment: Screen shot 2012-04-27 at 8.13.03 AM.png There is no end to what you can do with this simple web. Thanks

The flowers look great. You are definitely on a roll. Thanks for showing more great ideas.
